I am home getting better (hopefully). I hope you all have a great day. I should be back on Thursday.
KEYBOARDING: Today, you have two 10 minute typing tests. Use the extra time to help get caught up, for those of you that are behind. The NEW tests you should take are “The Tale Of Peter Rabbit” first and “Traffic lights have drivers playing the waiting game” second from the LA Times.
JAVA: Continue with AS16.
ADV WEB: Start your first MySQL assignment. Remember that the assignment handout has some nice sample code that should help you modify your Guestbook assignment to MySQL.
WEB DESIGN: Continue work on Assignment 02, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. Focus on getting the question pages completed. On Thursday, we will work on the wrong answer page, etc.
Thanks everyone,
Mr. Eliot

For our next assignment, we will create a simple guestbook using a text file. The guestbook will be a form that submits to itself. The key to this assignment is the ORDER that operations are completed. First the file should be written, then read, and then the entry form is displayed for NEW guestbook entries. Check out my version of the assignment HERE. You can also see how the data file looks HERE.

Sticky forms are forms that submit to themselves until all data entered by the user is correct. At that point, they give a confirmation message that the form was correct and usually send a confirmation email. Check out my version of AS09 HERE.
